INSTRUCTIONS:
We believe that each rule in your contract should have clear consequences and rewards. After each rule, please indicate the associated consequences (for example, a number of days prohibited from driving) and rewards (suggestions: gas money, a later curfew). We suggest you discuss these ideas with your teen driver. We’ve also included space for you to add additional rules to your contract.

Speeding
I will not drive over the speed limit. I will not be a passenger with a driver
who drives over the speed limit or recklessly.

Seatbelt Use
I will always wear my seatbelt and will require passengers to wear their seatbelts as well. When I am a passenger, I will always wear my seatbelt.

I will not allow more than friends in the car at one time, nor will I allow more passengers than I have seatbelts for. I agree to follow the local Graduated Drivers License laws regarding rules for number of passengers.

I will drive safely and obey all traffic laws. I will not drive in such a manner that results in a ticket, crash or that in any way harms another driver or passenger, cyclist or pedestrian.

I understand that alcohol consumption and the use of illicit drugs is against the law and dangerous. I will not drink alcohol or use marijuana or any other drugs at any time. I will not be a passenger with a driver who has consumed alcohol or used marijuana or any other drugs.
